Nose: This 40 year Timorous Beastie opens aromatically in the nose with an abundance of sweet spices, cereals and honeycombs.
Palate: On the tongue as sweet as expected with splintered sugar, the style of a matured malt and even more spices than you can perceive in the nose.
Finish: The finish is elegant and toned with a honeyed Highlander heritage.

Douglas Laing's Timorous Beastie is a marriage of several Highland single malts including whiskey distilled at Glen Garioch, Dalmore and Glengoyne distilleries. The hallmark of Timorous Beastie is a small and cute mouse. This little mouse "Timorous Beastie" comes from the poem "To a Mouse" by Robert Burns, the famous poet from Scotland.
In addition to the Timorous Beastie Blended Malt 0.7l - 46.8% alc./vol. there is also a limited edition of a Timorous Beastie 40 years since 2016. Which was bottled with a natural cask strength of 54.7%. There are only 1080 bottles of this aged "Vatted" malt worldwide.
